The first presentation will focus on corrosion control for the water industry including: 

·   The impact off corrosion on water infrastructure

·   Corrosion processes

·   Testing and monitoring for corrosion

·   Corrosion protection methods

·   Implementing corrosion control programs,

·   Discussion of specific corrosion issues attendees have experienced.

 

The second presentation will cover the various types of high-performance coating systems for water and wastewater facilities, including ferrous and non-ferrous metal, and concrete including:

·         Common types of coatings

·         Maintenance coatings

·         In-house or sub-contract coatings

·         NSF 61 approved coatings

·         Coating specifications

  

Erik Llewellyn

Erik is a Corrosion Engineer with Infinity Corrosion Group located in Park City, Utah with over 20 years of experience in the corrosion field.  Erik has a B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Water Resources from Drexel University in Philadelphia.  Erik is a Professional Engineer, NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist, and NACE Level 3 Certified Coating Inspector.  Erik started Infinity Corrosion Group in 2009 to provide corrosion engineering services for the water, oil and gas, and transportation industries throughout the Unites States.  He specializes in cathodic protection design, corrosion evaluations, field testing and surveys, interference evaluations and mitigation, pipeline integrity assessments, protective coatings and linings, facility condition assessments, and materials selection.  Erik partners with engineering consultants and works with owners to provide corrosion control solutions for new and existing facilities.

 

Michelle Call

Michelle Call has more than 30 years in the coatings industry.  Michelle joined Tnemec in the fall of 2009 after working in her family’s blasting and painting business since 1986 and also spending 7 years as the Coatings Division Manager for SME Steel.  Michelle is able to offer more than just the sale of coatings.  She understands the education and experience she can provide with her industry knowledge of shop and field applications.  Michelle is an SSPC and CSI member with a certificate in Construction Document Technology.  As a Tnemec representative covering the Utah/Idaho/Nevada area, she is able to offer expertise in nearly any Tnemec product.
