In order for small systems to ensure that the water they are providing for customers is safe and within compliance of state and federal guidelines, drinking water operators need to understand the sampling requirements and proper sampling techniques under the Revised Total Coliform Rule.
This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the Revised Total Coliform Rule, disinfection and proper sampling techniques. Participants will learn: • How the Revised Total Coliform Rule effects small water systems sampling requirements. • Identifying and correcting cross connections within the distribution system to prevent contamination from occurring in the drinking water system. • Hands on activity that demonstrates proper sampling techniques to ensure a representative sample is collected that meets required sampling guidelines.

Time: Check-in: 8:15 a.m.; workshop: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Lunch is one hour (on your own) This workshop qualifies for .6 CEUs
