Registration is Now Open for the 2015 Educational Extravaganze Midyear Conference

It is time to register for the 2015 Educational Extravaganza Midyear Conference.  Earn 0.6 CEUs by attending this great conference.  This year we have some exciting changes.  We will have some hands-on training along with operator competitions.

The new training includes:

Fluoride Safety Training.  Both the 3-hour and 6-hour training will be offered.  The 3-hour training will be taught twice during the day.  You can go to other technical sessions for the other half of the day.  The 6-hour training will involve a site tour of two systems that use Fluoride.  You must identify during registration if you will be taking the 6-hour training.

Operator Precertification Classes. Get prepared to take the Operator Certification Exam by taking math, pumps, water system O&M, chemical feed, and a general test review.

Cross Connection Control Planning  Come out of this class with a tangible cross connection control plan for your water system.

Workplace Violence Safety Training Begin to create a safer work environment and immediately decrease the chance of workplace violence in your organization by taking this training from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.

 

The Operator Competitions are where the fun begins.  The winning team and individual in the following competition will have expenses paid to compete for the Intermountain Section at ACE15 in Anaheim, CA in June 2015.

Meter Madness Competition Meter Madness is a fast-paced competition where contestants assemble a specified water meter from a bucket of parts. The winner of the Section’s competition will go to ACE15 in Anaheim, CA in June 2015 to compete. For more information on the Meter Madness Competition please contact Marie Owens at marieo@jvwcd.org

Top Ops Competition The challenging Top Ops contest tests the everyday know-how of water treatment operators in a "college bowl" format. The winning team will go to ACE15 in Anaheim, CA in June 2015 to compete.  For more information on the Top Ops Competition please contact Kim Dyches at kdyches@utah.gov

  

And, of course we have an large Exhibit Hall where you will find many suppliers from pipes to pumps, meters to hydrants, membrane filtration systems to safety equipment.
