The topic of the Admin Professionals lunch on November 17, 2016 was “Where Do You See Yourself in the Future and How Do You Become that Person”. We had the privilege of hearing from JoEllen Kunz, the co-owner of the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Taylorville who has a very dynamic and positive influence on others. JoEllen has been running her business for over 21 years and shared with us her inspiring story.
JoEllen expressed the importance of finding balance in a life full of chaos. One way to do that is to create a vision statement for yourself and live by it. JoEllen also encouraged everyone to celebrate those around us. When we take time to stop and look up…we begin to see people for who they are and we start viewing the world differently. Giving to others and doing things that excite you helps to create a positive happy culture.
Our next event will be on Wednesday May 17, 2107 from noon-2 PM at the JVWCD Education Center. It will be on Understanding Generations in the Workplace.
