The Administrative Services Committee provides quarterly training events focusing on skills and issues that arise in the workplace. Our retreat is an all-day event held in February and the other events are two-hour training luncheons. All events are held at Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District's Education Center.

The Annual Conference Committee plans and implements the Section's Annual Conference during the fall each year.

The Awards Committee collects nominations forms and reviews nominations to select award winners.

The Distribution Committee provides training on water distribution topics. The members of this committee also review the Utility Self Assessments of the G200 Distribution Standards that are submitted to the Section.

The Engineering & Construction Committee plans and executes construction project tours. The Committee also represents the Section with the Utah Engineers Council.

Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Committee deals with the following areas: 1) Ensures that our members understand and keep abreast of regulations and laws pertaining to the water industry. 2) Works with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and personnel on specific issues affecting the water industry. 3) Updates members on the regulatory aspects and climate that could affect the water industry.

The Membership Committee serves our current and prospective members of IMS AWWA.

The Midyear Conference Committee plans and executes the annual Educational Extravaganza Midyear Conference.

The Youth and Consumer Education Committee plans and executes programs and services to help educate the public on the value of water.

The Newsletter & Internet Committee produce From The Tap, a quarterly Newsletter as well as maintain and update the website.

The Safety and Security Committee assists the Small Systems Committee in their operator training classes by presenting specific information on safety and/or security of water systems. In addition they publish a Safety & Security E-Newsletter on a monthly basis.

The Small Systems Committee conducts six operator workshops, two precertifcation trainings, and a symposium each year.

The Southeast Idaho Subsection coordinates training activities for water operators in Idaho. Additionally, they plan events for Water Week in Idaho.

The Utility Quality Management Committee is charged with administering the Utility Quality Management Recognition Program.

The Student Outreach and Scholarship Committee serves our student members. They coordinate scholarship awards and the Fresh Ideas Poster Contest.
